Tuesday.. My first lesson (finally!)
BAD NEWS!! TERRIBLE NEWS!!! HORRIBLE NEWS!!!!!!!
My laptop spoiled. How? Y? I oso dunno. Bought it on thurs. Spoil on Sat. And my grandpa desktop not working. So cant do anything at all.. Sianz... Sigh.. Worse part is, I dun even noe wat went wrong! Lesson learnt. Even though some things look very troublesome, bear with it. Dun go all itchy hand and do things on ur own, if not, you'll be left with even bigger problems. Haiz..... Heartache plus bleeding....
Just had my first lesson of the practicum. Yeah! Finally...... But then.... Here comes the bad news. I'm only teaching today. Cos the school has test from wed onwards for this wk. So, I only have lesson today for this week. Sianz... Now, I have to start planning for next week. Sigh. This practicum sux. Nothing to do at all. I envy the rest. At least they're busy. Not like me. Well, I seriously thought that I would be busy. But reality check comes in: I'm not!
Seriously. My fear is that when I start the real teaching, I'd be busy and I won't be able to adapt to it coz I havent had much experience in handling lots of work. But on the other hand, if I am going to be busy in years to come, maybe it wont be so bad to relax a bit now. Sigh.
Heard of the term in direct translation: have fun den do work (xian tian hou ku aka, sweet first den bitter) and the vice versa do work den haf fun (xian ku hou tian aka Bitter taste first den sweetness)? Which one would you prefer?
Honestly,I'd prefer to taste sweetness and haf fun. Who cares about work and tastebuds? All fun and no work makes Yi Fan a happy gal =)
Today's first and only lesson is fun. Haha. The girls were doing soundscape and they had to depict a theme that they have in mind and perform it. The rest of the class had to guess what the group's theme was. There were lots of funny moments. But my favorite one was the one about a Kitchen. None of the class knew what they were trying to depict. Actually, for most of the groups, none knew what was going on. But after the explanation, everything sounded logical, and very creative. Hahahahaha.
The most funny and imaginative was in the Kitchen group. The running notes on the xylo meant boiling water. Okay... Accepted. But a girl played G-F-E-D-C on the xylophone. Guess what did that represent? It meant adding oil. Lol.. Then there were other sounds from different claves. Every click meant that the gal mus hit the xylo again to add oil and so on and so forth. Hahahaha... Completely lost that one. So imaginative rite?
There was another one who was playing the tamborine. And she shook so hard that her face was so red that I thought she was going to explode!!! Hhahaa. And she shook harder and harder until the leader called it an end. Hahahahaha...
While the girls were very engrossed and enthu on hands-on activites, most of them preferred listening exercises. Why? Cos heard a few of them say "Yeah, can listen." Haha. So interesting. Hmmm... Maybe can invest in listening exercises or games.....
1339. An hour more and I can go off for piano lesson. 20min b4 going to auditorium and sleep while students listen.
Shall stop blabbling.............
