I dun get it! I just dun! What's with the paranormal storyline nowadays? Everywhere I go (the book stores that is) all I can see and read are stories of vampires, vampires, vampires.
EWWWW!!! Stupid Twilight. Making a huge scene out of a yucky vampire romance story. Why are there people who feel that it is romantic to be in love or haf fatal attraction with and towards VAMPIRES? Come on, fatal attraction. Ya, half the chance you'll turn into a vampire or get killed by ur vampire lover. That's y it's called FATAL attraction. DER!
I went to Kino yesterday. Was at the fiction section. Do you noe how many vampire novels haf I come across? Shelf number 1, row 1, 2 books. row 2, 1 book. row 3, 1 book. At this continued to the rest of the shelves. My goodness. And if they dun use the word Vampire as their title, they'll disguise it with a very fanciful title. But, HA! I noe all their tricks, they cant fool me with a disguised fanciful name.
You'll probably ask me why am I so agitated over a dozen of vampire stories. Well, I was looking for my fav author and if she has written any new stories. And to my SHOCK! She has started writing a vampire series! GOSH! I couldnt believe my eyes. It was a really huge blow to me.
Do u noe how disgusting vampires are? Dead bloated bodies with blood out of their mouth. I once wiki and did a mini research on vampires. It was so horrifying, and so not romantic. The truth about vampires is horrifying and ugly. But why do so many people still fantasize having romantic relationships with them? I blame it on Hollywood.
Hollywood has definitely "hollywoodised" and stereotyped vampires in such a way that they seem to be living (even though they shouldnt be) and the modern authors input new ideas into the old horrifying ideas of vampires into their stories. These new inputs further twists readers' mind into letting them believe that having a forbbiden fatal relationship with VAMPIRES are truly exciting, romantic and ...... (input ur own vocab)
Dear readers, all I wanna point out is: I HATE VAMPIRE, PARANORMAL ROMANTIC FICTION STORIES!!! Paranormal, ok. Romance, ok. VAMPIRES? I SO HATE THAT. Yet! The bookstores are filled with them.
Blast you! Unoriginality. It's like the Bubble Tea Syndrome. Once started, everyone wants to follow it. It's like a fashion kind of thing. Tsk! I so hate this craze sense of vampire series. It's so commercialised, merchandised, and so... Propagating. It's like the Big people deciding what the trends of books are. What ideas are supposed to be instilled in readers' mind. Sense of liberation of ideas are gone. Because the world is ruled by the society's regulation and set of standards.
I truly admire those who go against the tide and do what they're best at, and what they truly believe. At least, there are those who have not fallen into the stinking trap of writing whatever topic is popular, just to earn that extra cash and recognition in the world.
I salute you!
AND!
I put my thumb down on those vampire mind twisters.
